We hope you are enjoying your Easter holiday. Our lovely residents certainly are.

Across our homes we have been decorating ready for this Easter weekend. There are lots of chicks and bunnies and bonnets on display as well as the odd egg hunt or two.

For many of our residents of a Christian faith, Easter is also an important time of year and they will be celebrating that in their thoughts and prayers. We hope that all of you have a really nice Easter break, don’t eat too much chocolate and stay safe and well for the Spring and summer ahead.

From this week on you might see some fairly colourful buses around the Ruddington area. This is because we have started an advertising campaign for Ruddington Retirement Village on local bus routes.

We would love to know if you see them on your travels. You may have seen the plans and designs, but here’s a view of the real thing! Make sure that if you do spot one, to reply to this post with a photo of it or just tag us in!

The Easter Weekend always sees plenty of activity at Orchard House, and this year will be no exception. Which means that in the weeks leading up to all things chocolate, bunnies and eggs there is plenty to be done.

Our lovely residents have been having great fun making Easter bonnets and painting Easter bunnies. It will be quite a show come Easter Sunday.

What are you making for Easter this year?

We have been working really hard throughout the Winter to get our new luxury Retirement Apartments ready for viewing. Now that the sun has come out and Spring is in the air, we are almost there. Work has been proceeding apace and here is a first glimpse of the nearly ready apartments. Designed to give people independence, comfort, and the ability to order in care as and when needed – we think the apartments give people the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and comfortable life in their later years.

.Our conservatory at Orchard House was packed last Friday as we were treated to a musical afternoon. Our lovely residents enjoyed sitting in the sun filled room and hearing some of yesteryear’s classic tunes. Musical events are always welcomed at Orchard House and residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves, including some of our married couples!We’re all looking forward to the next concert…get your tickets now – they may sell out!

Last week at St. Peter’s some of our lovely residents enjoying planting flowers for National Flower Day on Saturday 12th March. They sowed a range of seeds for blooms to brighten up the home and gardens a little alter in the year. As you can see we had some green fingers on the job, and we’ve got to say the gardening gloves look very natty! Here’s looking forward to the lovely blooms to come!
