Our lovely residents at Orchard House enjoyed the beautiful sunshine last week while spending time in our stunning garden. It was wonderful to see everyone relaxing, socialising, and making the most of the warm weather. The garden was filled with smiles, laughter, and happy moments as residents enjoyed the fresh air and peaceful surroundings together.

Two of our residents at The Ruddington, who are Mother and Son, had a wonderful day out in the sunshine this week to celebrate Mum’s Birthday. The centre of Nottingham did them proud, and they had a lovely lunch as well as enjoying some sunbathing in Market Square. It was great to see them enjoying their day so much.

We don’t know if this event will only be held once in a decade, but judging by how much fun everyone had, we think it could become an annual occasion. Recently, at St Peter’s, staff and residents dressed up in outfits from a decade of their choice. We had lovely entertainer, Nicky, come in and sing us some songs from the various decades, which brought back a lot of memories. Residents, staff, and family had a brilliant time, so we’re sure we will do it again!

Residents and families at The Ruddington thoroughly enjoyed their Easter weekend. Highlight of the celebration, apart from the glorious weather, was the Easter Egg Hunt and the presence in the home of the Easter Bunny. Everyone really enjoyed being in the courtyard, soaking up the sunshine, and of course eggs and cakes went down well. We hope you enjoyed your Easter too.

Our lovely resident, Marilyn, celebrated her 80th birthday last week here at Orchard House, with her family and staff. It was a wonderful occasion, made even more special by a lovely cake prepared by our own cook, Alicic. Everyone enjoyed the celebration, and it was a truly memorable day filled with warmth, laughter, and joy.

All our lovely residents at Orchard House really enjoyed their Easter weekend. There was a bit of a party atmosphere throughout the home as everyone tucked into way too many chocolates and eggs! Oh well, Easter only comes once a year, so we might as well enjoy ourselves to the max! We hope you enjoyed Easter as much as everyone here did!

Our lovely residents at Balmore House really enjoyed the Easter celebrations. They were made all the more fun by the fact that the residents made their own decorations to brighten up the home. There was a lot of creativity on display and some terrific results for everyone to enjoy.

St Peter’s residents were thrilled to welcome local entertainer and singer, Hannah, to the home this week. She put on a wonderful show, and the interaction between her and our residents was lovely to see. Lots of singing, some dancing, and playing of instruments all made for a fab event! We look forward to welcoming her back soon.

Our lovely residents at St Peter’s have always enjoyed the Easter festivities, and this year is no exception. So, to get in the swing of things, they decided to make some Easter bonnets this week. There were some lovely designs, and we are sure they will look fantastic on Easter Sunday. What will you be making to celebrate Easter?

At Orchard House this week, we were honoured to hold a wonderful 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration for Peter and Lesley. There were lots of cards, presents, and good wishes – including very specially from the King and Queen. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the occasion, with plenty of delicious food and a fantastic entertainer who made the day even more special. It was a happy celebration for all, not least Peter and Lesley, who would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making their special day so memorable.
